This is where the description of my blog should go!

Bodega bar is no more!

A friend of mine sent me this blog posting yesterday and I must admit I was completely shocked. The Bodega is easily my favorite bar in Cork city and I would go there for Sunday brunch every other weekend. It was always a great place to pop in and have a pint as the atmosphere was fantastic.

There was many a Sunday that started with a delicious Bodega Brunch Special and ended with myself and my buddies still there sipping pints at 10pm! I have a lot of fond memories of that bar and I'll would be very sorry if it's new owners closed its doors for good.

A department store? That's a joke. The bodega is one of the most distinctive bars in Cork and it always has a good crowd in there. Where am I going to drink now?

Wismari,

Sad but true. Aren't planning bodies supposed to take all this sort of stuff into consideration?

The current owners of the Bodega shouldn't just sell up! It's almost a landmark that bar!
